Description: Vintage, German Beer Stein circa 1970 depicting his Majesty's Prinz Adalbert's ship built as an armored cruiser for the German Navy before World War I. The original Stein was presented to a man name Edouard Schuffler for his time of service on the cruiser. The cruiser was twice torpedoed during WW I, first in July1915, then repaired, and eventually torpedoed again in October of 1915. Of the 675 men on board all but 3 lost their lives.This stein commemorates part of Germany's WWI history but is also a decorative object and collector's item.The inside of the bottom of the stein shows the most often shown picture of the "nude woman" only seen when held against the light.Inside lid is lighter in tone than outside, decorative part.Excellent, unused condition, Height: Approx. 8 1/2"Diameter at bottom: 4 1/2"
