Krick Weather Guide, copyrighted in 1949. It of durable metal (possibly aluminum) construction, and is 10 1/2” long. The user turns the knobs at the bottom of the device unit the red arrowhead lines up with the wind direction for the particular season. A compass is provided to aid in assessing the wind direction. The weather forecast may then be red in the window near the top of the device. There were seven (7) different devices sold for seven (7) different regions of the United Stats. This model is for the North Central States. If the knobs are turned so the red arrow lines up with the black dot, the region the device is designed for may be read in the window.Dr. Krick was a meteorologist and professor at the California Institute of Technology. He pioneered providing commercial meteorological consulting and had a cloud seeding business for rainfall enhancement.
