Description: This great mid-19th c. glove box features the finest Tunbridge inlays featuring grapes, vines and leaves on all four sides and a top with almost 3 dimensional parquetry inlay in many exotic woods. This beautiful English glove box is made to the finest standard c. 1860. It was actually featured in the Kovel's Guide in the 1980's.The interior features its original printed gold and green paper and has padded pink silk on the underside of the top with loops for glove stretchers. It also has its original patented stop hinges and lock. the box is 9 7/8" long x 3 3/4" deep x 3" tall. This box has been in our collection for many years and is in excellent undamaged condition.
