Description: Up for bid is a beautiful vintage Christmas postcard. On the front is a lovely lithographic illustration of a snow-covered church at sunset. What makes this card very special is that when you hold it up to a lighted lamp, the light shows through the windows of the church and the crescent moon above. (see supersized image 1). If you look closely you can see how that's all been die cut to allow for the illumination (see supersized image 2). This very special hold-to-light postcard has been posted, and has a 1906 cancellation across the one-cent stamp on its divided back. What a lovely, unique and scarce 110 year-old postcard! Some lucky bidder will walk away with this one--will it be you?
