The outside of the round box has been painted black and the entire outside has been covered with a protective coat of polyurethane. The insde has been left unpainted. The box measures approximately 1.75 inches wide across the widest point on the outside, and it measures about 1.5 inches wide across the widest point on the inside. The inside is approximately 1 inch deep. It would make a nice trinket box for giving a gift such as a ring, a necklace or some other jewelry or small gift, or it is nice enough to be displayed on its own.
