Description: Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: I have had this for years. It is Victorian. I believe it is a Crystoleum photograph. It is a Mammoth plate as it is about 8 x 10. The photo is on glass with a rough painted second glass piece affixed to back. If you look at the photo out of frame you can see some writing by the edge that looks reversed(pic #3). The photo is of a young boy with hat in a skirt. The photo has some fading and toning. If you look next to the boys head you will see a black dot original to the photo. Photo glass is old wavy glass. The painted glass back is roughly painted and I think it was meant to add color to photo, but it doesn't. Front glass is excellent, painted glass does have hairline crack that doesn't show through front at all, and some paint loss (last pic). It is in an old Victorian solid walnut frame. Frame as-is with carving losses on corners. If it isn't, let me know what it is and I'll adjust the listing. Glass plate measures about 8" x 10". Displays nicely. Overall frame measures about 12 1/2" by 15". BID WITH CONFIDENCE . We have been long time collectors and dealers of early English Transferware, Quality 19th century furniture, and Victoriana.
