This is a great image looking across the rocky terrain at the Half Way house in the distance. This has a nice 3D effect. The view was photographed and published by George H. Scripture, Peterboro, N. H. and was part of the "Monadnock Mountain Scenery" series. The name "John C. Young" is written in pencil on the verso. There is considerable shading in the left image (see scan) and overall soiling.
