Description: CDV photograph of a handsome gentleman identified as "Oren Mott, Selden, Long Island on the reverse. James Orrin Mott was born 2 April 1842 in Selden, Suffolk, New York, son of James Mott (1801 - 1864) and Dency Ann Ross/Rose (1810 - 1895). He is registered as a Private with Co. B, 133rd Regiment, NY; enlisting 23 September 1864. He never married. Orrin died 10 March 1890 and was laid to rest near his parents in the Trinity Methodist Church Cemetery in Coram, Suffolk, New York. His portrait is by the W. R. Wasson (formerly Harrison's Studio) photography studio of Fulton Avenue in Brooklyn, New York and measures 2.5 x 4 inches. Card is in good to very good condition for its age, but as to be expected of a photo about 150 years old, it shows normal wear and spots. Please see photos to examine.
