We regraded the book and added photos of the minor damage. Otherwise, solid page and cover attachment (except a sprung stitch at 339-342, not loose) . Reinforced hinges. Caps present but chipped. Shelf scrapes to covers. Corners rubbed. Pages clean without marks (except a small figure in pencil on a back fly page), creases, stains, or foxing. Unobtrusive smudge on title page, tail fore, possibly from printing. Paper a quality wove lightly toned, but not at all brittle or yellowed. BINDING: Half brown calf with cloth reinforced hinges.. This second edition provides for a more complete, corrected roster of Minnesota's soldiers and officers, as well as corrections in the many narratives included. Printing made possible by renewed legislative funding of the Commission, explained in the introduction. Also, reviews of the 1st Edition provided in preliminaries. Another volume issued later by the Commission includes official texts. The present volume includes the core of the battle narratives, as corrected by the authors themselves. . The Indian War of 1862-64, and following Campaigns in Minnesota by Charles E. Fandrau [p. 727-818, 818a-818j] includes narratives of battles and rosters of militias involved.
