Description: This is a Late 18th Century Windsor Rocking Chair. The two arms have been wound up with twine or string where it goes into the back, and this repair looks to be at least 100 years old. Its possible that one of the rockers has been replaced, but we are not certain. We are not sure if this is the original paint, and some of it has faded off to show a red wood beneath. The dowels are coming through the arms. The seat has been cracked near one of the arms and has been repaired. Despite this, this rocking chair is very sturdy. We weigh 260 lbs and we were able to sit in it with no trouble. It is 37" tall to the top. It is 13" tall to the seat. The seat is 17.25" from front to back. From arm to arm, it is 20" wide. It was made in the late 1700's. This gorgeous chair is painted black. There are two blue birds with yellow wings facing each other with a yellow and light tan and yellow basket. There are red, yellow, blue, and tan flowers with green leaves. This magnificent rocking chair won't last long, so click buy it now to add this to your home.FOR SHIPPING: Please make sure you have a local Greyhound Package Express Station near you to pick this up.
