Description: I am making a change in this description to correctly describe the item,10/16/24. I previously called it a bronze and it is not. It was pointed out to me that the letters MFA on back stands for Museum of Fine Art. This piece was a replica sold by Boston Museum of Fine Art I believe in the '80s. It is a kind of resin and not bronze, still very nice looking. The price has changed to reflect more true value. The following is my original description but without calling it a bronze: LARGE Abraham Lincoln Bust by George E. Bissell. Has the Gorham Founders 046 or 048 mark. It is 16 inches in height and weighs about 13 lbs. It is in excellent overall condition. There is a small place on the base, not the statue, that is chipped in next to last photo. It is on the back side and isn't visible when displayed (last photo). I can see no flaws in the bust, if there are they must be tiny. There is some light reflection in most pictures.
