Description: A super clean shifter/console trim surround and matching ashtray unit for your Jaguar XJ 1995-1997 specifically. (X300 Chassis) (The ashtray will also fit the 90-94 XJ6 / XJ40 Chassis with modification --- the ashtray electrical connector and latch piece is different and need to be swapped with your current parts) The "ski-slope" shifter trim will fit the XJ40 1990-1994 WITH the sport switch cut-out at the bottom.Carefully removed from a 1996 XJ6. The ashtray door opens properly with a touch of the button and closes with one touch. The wood is in excellent shape with nice color and finish. Zero cracks in the ashtray wood finish. It is clean and bright. There are 3 fine hairline clear coat cracks on the shifter trim (see close-ups)Slight discoloration from age but looking excellent. Bright finish with great shine. All mounting points are 100% intact. The ashtray insert and lighter are clean. Zero cracks or stressed areas in the shifter trim rear core backing.
