Description: This heavily restored ca. 1825 historic blue Staffordshire tureen of large size in the Haughton hall pattern with lid in the Ampton hall design. Measuring 10 1/2" tall (7" to the top of the rim) x 16" wide at the handles with 9 1/8" x 11 7/8" oval top rim and 8 1/4" x 6 1/4" oval foot. The form is wonderful and the size is impressive. There is a litany of flaws: the base is badly discolored and cracked with some in-painting and some glaze loss; one of the oversize handles has a replaced stem, and the top knop is a replacement; there are chips to the underside of the handles and the lid is a likely mismatch. It bears the impressed circle and crown mark of A Stevenson Staffordshire. WE ARE ALWAYS HAPPY TO SHIP WORLDWIDE IF ALLOWED BY USPS. Please e-mail me if you have any questions. PAYMENT POLICY: Unless arrangements are made prior to bidding, payment is expected within 3 days after the end of the auction or the item will be re-listed. Visa/MasterCard payments accepted through PayPal. On all INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS merchandise will be declared as such (not gifts or commercial samples) and value stated as the actual sale price. BRN4
