Description: This is a new (vintage) embroidered patch to commemorate the missions of the NASA Space Shuttle Columbia. STS-65 was launched on July 8, 1994 and was commanded by astronaut Robert Cabana. This mission was part of the International Microgravity Laboratory (IML) flights which conducted scientific research in a microgravity environment. This flight was an international mission, with scientists from the European Space Agency, Canada, France, Germany and Japan working with NASA.This cool patch is colorful. The background is black. The rest of the patch is embroidered in silver, red and gold. The names of the captain and crew members are embroidered in gold (Cabana, Halsell, Walz, Hieb, Chiao, Thomas, Mukai). The letters IML (for International Microgravity Laboratory) are embroidered in red. The space shuttle Columbia is also embroidered on the patch. We are not sure of the age or origin of the patch – it came from a collection. See photo for size. Since the patch is vintage, there may be a loose thread or two. Note that colors may vary from one computer monitor to the next. The patch pictured is the one you will get. For condition, please look at the photo, but this patch is new and in great shape.Size: Patch is round and is 3” in diameter.I will combine shipping if you win multiple items within three days, so please check out my other auctions.
