Description: This is a first-generation COPY of a 1966 script from THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW TV series (not a transcript or Photoshop recreation). The original was owned/used by character actor Allan Melvin (Brady Bunch, Gomer Pyle, Archie Bunker's Place, Magilla Gorilla). A copy is being offered here. The 56-page script is from the last regular episode of the iconic comedy series, “The Gunslinger”. The story: While anesthetized in Jerry's (Jerry Paris) dentist chair for a tooth extraction, Rob (Dick Van Dyke) dreams he's a sheriff in the Old West and has a showdown with Big Bad Brady (series creator Carl Reiner). The rest of the cast is also in the episode: Mary Tyler Moore, Rose Marie, Morey Amsterdam, Larry Mathews, Ann Guilbert, and Richard Deacon. This was the only episode to have a scene filmed outside and the last regular episode of the series (the series finale was a clip show) and. It features cameos by writers Jerry Belson, Sam Denoff, Bill Persky, and Garry Marshall. Guest actors include Allen Melvin, Jack Berle (Milton’s older brother), and Abdullah Abbas.
