Description: A Classic Burgundy Shantung Tie Shantung silk is woven with raw silk yarns, which form "knots" or "slubs", which give this silk it's unique texture and look. Shantung silk of this quality is only woven in Como Italy, making it a highly exclusive fabric, and staple of Italian style. This particular variety is quite soft, and features a slight sheen unlike most shantungs, giving it more character and formality. Untipped or "rolled tip" ties require much more time, fabric, and skill to produce, adding a high degree of craftsmanship. The resulting style is more casual and has a more nonchalant character not found in lined ties. The tie was hand sewn by our craftsman in Naples to ensure the highest quality of construction. The length of the tie is 57.5", and width is 3.15"
