Below the title in the lower L subsection of the map, it reads as follows:・Par le Sr. Robert de Vaugondy fils de Mr. Robert Georg. Ord du Roi Avec Privilege 1749・Eschelle, Lieues Marines et d'une heure Map shows the "Topique de Cancer" and has the cardinal directions written along side as, "Septentrion, Orient, Midi, Occident" (NESW) What is also interesting about this map is the northern region which is labeled TIBET and below DALAI LAMA The map is in great condition, with one exception - there is a crease that is visible at certain angles that runs from midway on the L moving diagonally toward the bottom center. Considering its age, it is still in very good condition. Map is matted, with matting measures 11 x 14" Will be packaged with care. Item itself will be sealed with backboard
