It was one of the last knives I made in Riverside county before I moved to Spain. It was made in August 2015. I have a photo of the knife on my website (attached).It has the last rendition of the Dropped point hunter pattern designed by Bob. This blade measures 3-3/4". It has hidden fasteners under the scales and I believe the Sambar Stag was dyed "Sunset" or something like that by Culpeppers in North Carolina. It was a new dye at the time, introduced after the amber dye seen on a lot of later Loveless knives.So here is a gorgeous custom Drop Point Hunter Loveless style blade from Marcus Lin. Marcus studied and worked with Bob Loveless and Jim Merritt so has developed and mastered the styles and designs of Bob Loveless. This has a Hand Mirror Polished finish on a Hitachi ATS-34 which is very hard for me to photograph but to me, it's flawless and this has never been used. It has a deep hollow ground blade with a tapered tang so the overall weight of this blade is quite lite. Marcus used Full Stag Handle right after the guard. This will come with a matching Leather Sheath with the Marcus Lin logo on it with a matching number that matches this exact knife. The main photo belongs to Marcus Lin, he is the one that showed it to me and I have permission from him to use the photo. This is from a private collection where it was kept as a safe queen.
