Click Photos to Enlarge Description Here is an original March 1968 VINTAGE (The serial number is CD) men's Schwinn Panther mens beach cruiser bicycle with 26" wheels. It is in the original and very appealing CAMPUS GREEN colored factory paint. If you like TOP OF THE LINE original bikes of the time, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! *This bike has a cool mens cruiser style frame and forks with original paint and decals, frame mounted slimline horn tank, (untested) original Panther screen chainguard, Schwinn cruiser style seat, "AS" (Arnold Schwinn) seat post clamp, wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn hand grips, full fenders, Schwinn pedals, front carrier rack, REAR 2 jewel carrier rack, and more! I absolutely love the Schwinn middleweight series of bikes of this era! (Panther, Jaguar, American, Corvette, Typhoon, Hollywood, etc) This one was the top of the line of the time! *I was told this bike was used very little since new. (see pics and be your own judge) It is not perfect or nos but is one of the nicer surviving type bikes like this you could ever ask for. (see pics and be your own judge) *The tires are 26x1 3/4". They are vintage SCHWINN SUPERIOR tires and do hold air. The bike has chrome Schwinn S-7 rims front and rear with a Bendix hub. *The bike is an original TWO-SPEED "kickback" with coaster brakes. (pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike or to change gears) These are a BLAST to ride! If you have never ridden one, I highly recommend it! Yes, this one does shift gears and brakes. (hub makes a little noise from being used so little and could use lubrication) *DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 30 1/2". The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 28". The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18 1/2". The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22". The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust. *NOTED FLAWS I got this one exactly like you see it. It is not 100% flawless but is quite nice for its age! I LOVE the fact that this bike still wears its original paint! (has some chips scratches etc) The chrome is shiny but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) The one wheel has a minor side ding. (see closeup) You may not even notice but I like to be honest. Tank has "fork knock" from the rack. (they all do) If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you bid. *This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach.
