Description: Original WW2 M1943 Entrenching Tool - Dated 1945 Condition: Excellent, with the shovel working and folding as it should, there are no dents or bending to the shovel body, and the handle is free from cracks and other major damage. There is regular wear throughout, limited to a fray on the top of the cover, paint chipping, some scratches and surface rust on the shovel, and unevenness to the blade edge. This shovel is the M1943 entrenching tool, used in WW2 by the U.S. Army to dig and fortify foxholes. This particular shovel is marked U.S. Ames 1945, and the cover is marked and dated Progressive Bag Co., Inc. 1945. The shovel measures 20 3/4" in length (extended 27 3/4") x 6" wide. These original WW2 entrenching tools complete with cover are getting harder to find, so don't miss out on this one!!
