1930’s NECCO Candy Card Eskimo and Baby E196 Strange People of Many Lands ESQUIM

Description: This card was issued by the NEW ENGLAND CONFECTIONARY CO. , of Cambridge Massachusetts as an insert premium in their brand of NECCO CANDIES . These cards are from a fairly RARE series of 24 cards entitled , “STRANGEPEOPLE OF MANY LANDS” . The series is listed in Burdick’s American Card Catalogue as number E196. Neither The ACC or Benjamin’s Price Guide to Non Sports Cards Gives date that this series was issued but I believe it to be around the 1930’s. The front of the card features a colorful rendition of a person in the tradition native attire of their country. The back features a brief write up on the featured country, as well as having advertising for Necco Candies. This card features a Esquimau and Baby and is number 4 in the series. The Card measures 2 1/2 inches by 1 ½ inches approximately. The card does have some creasing. I have scanned the card fairly large for you to be able to judge condition for yourself. This card would make an excellent gift for anyone who collects early chocolate, gum, candy or trading cards . Don't miss out on this scarce card.
