Description: “1925” Long Island Railroad (L.I.R.R.) lantern. Beautiful high glass black enamel finish. -beautiful ! A few minor ticks in the paint. Is it original New Old Stock or restored? You be the judge!!!! There is a stamped number on the brim of the top hinged part. The number is “4614”. Perfect ruby red glass chimney ( globe). Globe has an imprint of a circle with a capital “K” inside. Vortex brand oil tank and wick feeder also in beautiful working condition. Looks NOS. Composite handle cover ( rubber?) is all original and in great condition. Full height to top of handle is 15 inches. Top of lantern is 9 inches and width is 7 inches.
